My Dream Is Fencing (2025)
International fencer Sun doesn't quite live in the present; he's preoccupied with past and present, making him unfocused. As a kid, Sun trained in the Athamat Thai swordsmanship style of his grandfather. Later, when Sun took up the international sabre, his style as a fencer was outstanding, though he was held back by his lack of focus. Sun lives with his mother, Rungthiwa—who has stage four heart arrhythmia—and grandfather, Chamnan, in an antique shop on the verge of bankruptcy. His father left them before Sun was born, although Sun was told he'd died. Sun has a crush on a girl, Wela. Now studying at the same university, Wela is in the fencing club and is close to a senior named Time, who's trying to make it onto the national fencing team. Time's father is a smart, cool and composed businessman named Athit. Time, Athit and Sun's first meeting isn't under the best of circumstances; Sun and Time are at the police station when Athit comes to bail out his son, and Athit has unkind words for Sun's mother, getting their relationship off to a bad start. Following this event, Sun's aunt tells him the truth about his father that his mother and grandfather had hidden from him, that Sun's father is alive and wealthy. His aunt wants Sun to go to his father for help paying for Rungthiwa's treatment. Sun has to put his feelings about this news to the side to help his mother. To start, he'll have to work hard to fix his bad reputation and reign in his focus if he hopes to compete against his university's first-ranked fencer, Time.
