The orphaned daughter of a distinguished military family, Song Xuan, is suddenly ordered by the emperor into a political marriage—with Bai Manchuan, a notorious playboy of the capital. Bai Manchuan initially vows to refuse, but with his marquis household facing financial ruin, he is forced to accept.
