Kyun-woo has returned home after studying abroad for 3 years.

After having a festive time with his friends, he runs into a drunk woman and decides to get her somewhere safe, but the actions to come will forever change their lives.

While Kyun-woo was drinking with Da-yun, that woman appeared.

She brands him a rapist and thief and tells him to hand over the ring. Kyun-woo is shocked to hear these things and decides to help her. 

The princess is on the search to find Kyun-woo and is able to find him at the Lantern Festival. 

At the festival, Kyun-woo is able to meet Da-yun but is made to feel uncomfortable due to the way that the princess acts. 

Kyun-woo finds out where the princess is and is successful in rescuing her. 

After receiving news that his family might be in danger, the king rushes back to the palace and finds something shocking.

The princess finally gets caught for always sneaking out of the palace for that "special" reason…

The princess is confined to her quarters yet she has no intention of abiding to her punishment. Rumors about the princess's relationship spread.

As soon as the princess realizes that Kyun-woo has saved her, she collapses and is taken to Kyun-woo's home.

The fact that the princess has disappeared is realized by everyone and actions are taken to get her back, but… 

The princess is out to find Min Yoo-hwan no matter how dangerous it is, but Kyun-woo can not let her do this by herself. 

The king finds out that the Princess left her resting period and sets out to find her.

The princess is shocked by how the ministers are proclaiming their concerns to the king about the way she has been acting. 

ung Ki-joon is doing his best to make his plot unfold. 

The prince has come from Qing, China to ask for the princess's hand in marriage.

Kyun-woo is caught in the middle of the love triangle because he was assigned to be the prince's personal translator.

The Qing, China Prince is growing ever so fond of the princess and Kyun-woo realizes that he can no longer keep his emotions a secret.

The ministers are plotting to use the princess for their plans. 

The King announces that he will interrogate the Minister of Taxation himself to find out if there are any accomplices, but he breaks free from jail one day. And the King suggests Gyun Woo any position he wants and he desires to be Prince's teacher again so that he can spend more time with Princess Hye Myung. 

As the Princess starts to work in the Bureau of Medical Services to help sick people, Gyun Woo goes there to see her often. But one day, Lady Da Yun visits the place and tells the Princess about something shocking.

Princess Hye Myung loses a chance to get the traces of her mother because of Gyun Woo. She doesn't understand Gyun Woo's behavior and gets upset about him. The misunderstanding puts them in an awkward position. 

New flyers criticizing both Master Jung and the King are strewn in the capital by a masked man and people start to believe that Prince Choo Seong appeared again to take revenge. The subjects movement cannot be completely ignored and the actions are taken.

The Ghost Mask distributes flyers that says the Queen was dethroned 10 years ago because of the fabricated evidence and witnesses that had been bribed. This comes to the attention of the elders to bring about the justice. 

Master Jung suspects Wol Myung but orders him to catch Ghost Mask, and the King wants to catch him before they do. Gyun Woo is also after the masked guy but gets wounded while chasing him. 

As Gyun Woo rescues the Ghost Mask, he gets to remember all the memories he had lost when he was young. After he finds out who played the critical role in making the Queen dethroned, Gyun Woo gets shocked.

And Prince Hye Myung go to the places where they spent time together before while reminiscing the past. The Queen visits Wol Myung in jail, apologizes and offer something to him.

The Queen is cornered as her faulty actions are reported to the King. In effort to survive, she blames all the wrongful acts on Gyun Woo and his family. At young age, Gyun Woo wrote on a poster which brought about a huge turmoil ten years ago.

Gyun Woo and his father are arrested and Master Jung is planning to pin them down with more accusations. Meanwhile, the Princess is making all her efforts to save Gyun Woo. 

Gyun Woo decides to wear a Ghost Mask and make Ki Jun confess himself. After catching Ki Jun and his men, Gyun Woo plans to leave the capital. Meanwhile, Hye Myung meets her mother and hears the story of Gyun Woo. 

Also, after hearing from Lieutenant Kang, Hye Myung visits Gyun Woo and asks him to stay in the capital. Therefore, Gyun Woo proposes to Hye Myung, but Hye Myung refuses it as she wishes to study medical in the Qing.
