When an arsonist considers seeking revenge on Judge Wilbur, Joey and Michael decide to hire protection for her in the form of Bull Shannon.

When Joey refuses to follow her advice, Nicole starts dating a guy with a bad reputation around town and in school to get back at Joey.

Nicole walks in on Joey in bed with a woman and brags about it to her friends.

Nicole fantasizes what it would have been like if her mother had married either Joey or Michael.

Michael and Joey begin their jobs at the magazine together.
