Episode 89

In this centenary year of 1916 we have heard about the combatants involved on either side of the rebellion. Valerie Waters went to the National Gallery of Ireland to where those who work there today are proud of the man who was registrar there in 1916 and who was responsible for preserving the National collection during that turbulent week. Also, Eileen Magnier visits the Rainbow Ballroom in Glenfarne, opened in 1934 and the dancehall on which the film The Ballroom of Romance was based.
