Two people died in Plainfield, NJ as the car they were in was swept away by floodwaters. One animal shelter was devastated by the water and others today are saying they are lucky to be alive after being rescued. NBC News' Erin McLaughlin reports. Opening statements got underway today in the murder trial of 47-year old James Craig. Prosecutors allege Craig poisoned his wife Angela and say Craig's online searches about poisonous substances are just some of the key pieces of evidence they will present during the trial. After the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended the use of certain GLP-1 weight loss drugs in January of 2023, the use among children skyrocketed by 65% immediately and has continued to grow since.
