California is once again reeling from the aftermath of a fast-moving storm that forced evacuation, rescues and even a rare tornado. NBC News' Steve Patterson reports on the storm system that is now moving east. Nearly 100 protesters arrested after sit-in at Trump Tower in NYC to demand release of Mahmoud Khalil. Khalil became one of the faces of the protests against Israel at Columbia University last spring and now faces possible deportation. NBC News' Laura Jarrett reports. President Trump called the European Union "hostile and abusive" and threatened to slap a 200 percent tariff on European alcohol if the E.U. does not drop its 50 percent levy on American whiskey. While the trade war escalates, NBC News learned the stock market slide has Republicans concerned. NBC's Gabe Gutierrez reports. The Oklahoma attorney general charged Robert Morris with five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child. Morris is the founder of Gateway, one of the largest megachurches in the country. It comes eight months after NBC News investigated the story of Cindy Clemishire, who says Morris began abusing her in 1982, when she was 12. NBC News' Antonia Hylton spoke with Clemishire, who said "most victims think this day will never come." Russian President Putin said he supports the idea of President Trump's ceasefire plan, but there are issues he needs to discuss with the U.S. before he would agree to it. President Trump called Putin's comments "very promising" but incomplete. Ukraine has already accepted Trump's proposal. NBC News' Richard Engel reports. Tonight, a total lunar eclipse will sweep the Western Hemisphere as the sun, earth and moon align. Called the 'Blood Moon', the reddish hue will be visible without special glasses or a telescope. NBC's Emilie Ikeda visits the Liberty Science Center in New Jersey to learn more.
