All the months that the war is going on, mutual accusations of fascism are perhaps the only thing that unites Kyiv with Moscow. "Neo-Nazism", "fascism", "denazification" - each of the terms during this time has turned into a curse without meaning. Dozhd journalist Konstantin Goldenzweig undertook to compare what is happening in Russia today with what was once happening in the homeland of these concepts - in Europe in the 1930s. About many things: from Auschwitz to Stalingrad - to this day it is known to any schoolchild. But how did these regimes come about? What were they? And is it appropriate to compare the millions who died then and the current tragedy?
