Steve and Scott Johnson are two brothers, bound by difficult childhoods and a shared brilliance, but when Scott comes out as gay their lives diverge. Then, tragically, Scott is found dead beneath a cliff in Australia and Steve begins a search for answers.

Episode 2
Steve Johnson learns about a pattern of homophobia, violence, and murder in Sydney's gay community, and calls into question the police's original determination of suicide. The case is reopened 25 years after Scott's death.

Episode 3
Relations between the New South Wales Police and Steve Johnson break down, and the animosity between the two sides plays out in the media. Meanwhile, new discoveries are made about teen gangs in Sydney that brutally hunted gay men for sport.

Episode 4
A third inquest brings a long-awaited determination: Scott died from violence. Then, in a shocking twist, a police tip leads to a new suspect who confesses to Johnson's killing. Now Steve must decide if he's finally ready to let his brother's case rest.
