Mother and daughter Lesley and Tuesday follow a strict routine of scrubbing, bleaching and dusting, so single mum Sonia, from Farnham in Surrey, could do with their help tackling 20 years' worth of clutter - some of which is preventing her from shutting her bathroom door. Meanwhile, gym owner Vinny, from Sheffield, heads to Margate in Kent, where Robin shares his filthy home with six dogs.

He heads to Guildford, Surrey, to meet upholsterer and craft enthusiast Gerri, whose home is stuffed with three years' worth of material waiting to be upcycled. Also waging a war on dirt is Sarah, who became obsessed with cleanliness after having her first baby. She travels to Coventry to help brothers Andy and Mikk, but is shocked to find an untidy living room and a wall being used as a dartboard on her arrival.

Louise, from Wiltshire, cleans her sink around eighteen times a day and travels to Swindon to help Michelle, who is a hoarder.

She makes her way to Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, to help Dusty Rhodes. Helen, from East Sussex attempts to help Janet, from Luton, whose passion for haberdashery has taken over the house.
