Obsessive Compulsive Country House Cleaners - Season 3

Season 3

Episodes

The Guynd
In this episode, the cleaners head to The Guynd, a Regency mansion in north-east Scotland and home to John, the 26th laird. Once a glorious Scottish estate, over the last 20 years The Guynd has been in steady decline - nowadays the grand entrance hall serves as John's workshop for DIY projects and his kitchen is shared with mice. Now, as John grows older, he's starting to think about passing the house on to his son, Elliot, but he worries that his son won't want the burden. With Elliot due to return on a visit, John wants to breathe new life into his family home and throw a grand ceilidh. To help John get The Guynd up to scratch, two obsessive compulsive cleaners are moving in for five days.

Brithdir Hall
The cleaners are heading to the Welsh hills and Brithdir Hall, a 16th-century, Grade II-listed mansion. It is home to Jeremy, 55, his son Thomas, 15, and Clayton the spaniel. When he inherited it from his grandmother 12 years ago, Brithdir Hall was immaculate. Nowadays, the house is all but derelict, with mushrooms growing through the walls, a yard full of dog poo and a loo which hasn't been cleaned in years. Juggling three businesses just to keep the roof from leaking any more than it already is, Jeremy says housekeeping comes a long way down his to-do list. His main concern is running pheasant shoots from home, but he needs to up his game in order to attract higher paying clients. He plans to re-launch his shooting business with a grand lunch at the end of the week, but getting the house ready in time is too big a job for him alone. To help bring this plan to fruition, two obsessive compulsive cleaners are moving in for five days.

Poundisford Lodge
The cleaners head for a 16th century manor in Somerset, where an acclaimed writer of ghost stories needs help with clearing out some of her junk.
