The large LKA contingent is looking for a serial killer in Krewlow and hopes to get a clue from the only survivor who was found on the mountain of corpses. However, the seriously injured man is unresponsive. For the village doctor Frank Seeger it is clear that "Powder Paul" is behind the bloody deeds. The gun-crazy hermit barricades himself in his farm and obsessively believes that he has to defend himself against overwhelming enemies. When Roland Voit and Stanislaw Zajak want to question him, a life-threatening confrontation occurs. Meanwhile, Maggie stays with Adrian Demko, her childhood friend who uses a wheelchair.
