Derbyshire
In the first episode of the series, Christine heads to Derbyshire where she discovers an ancient ‘motorway', takes part in a tug of war, works in a traditional sweet shop and takes part in a well-dressing ceremony.
Christine's first job in Derbyshire is to meet up with a local historian who shows her a historic trading route which ran through Derbyshire, going up and down the country, like an early M1. Christine takes in the views of the Derbyshire scenery as she heads along the route, chatting to other walkers on the way.
Next on the list, Christine heads to the tiny village of Sheen, which has a population of just 250. The Sheen Farmers Tug of War Club are the current men's world champions in the sport, and now the women in the village have got involved as well.

Essex & the Suffolk Border
The second episode of the series sees Christine Bleakley being chased by a pack of bloodhounds, try her hand at re-creating a famous sketch and learn the haunting truth about witch hunting in England.
Christine's first stop is the Dedham Vale, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Admiring the beautiful landscape, Christine decides to try a novel way of exploring it. She heads to Roger and Fiona Clarke's farm where they keep a pack of bloodhounds which chase and hunt people for fun.

Northern Ireland
For the third episode of the series Christine heads back home to Strangford Lough where she visits an enchanted garden, dodges whirlpools on the lough and discovers that seaweed could be the answer to future world energy problems.

Herefordshire
In the fourth episode of this series Christine travels around Herefordshire where she sees black and white Tudor villages, meets the man making eye cream from flower petals, drives a traction engine and goes wild river swimming.
Christine's first stop is to meet local man Doug and his horse, Ella, who are working together to control the bracken in the woods. The bracken in this part of the country is particularly strong, and if it isn't crushed and removed, it can completely take over the woodland. Christine takes Ella's reigns and leads her through the trees as she pulls a roller to destroy the bracken.

Shropshire
In the fifth episode, Christine heads to Shropshire where she explores an unusual museum, helps make natural confetti and takes part in a medieval re-enactment.
Firstly, Christine meets Jim and Jess who plant, grow and harvest amazing flowers for natural confetti. Christine gets stuck in helping to pick the flowers and the pair explains how they dry them and package them before sending them to brides and grooms across the country. Plus, Christine discovers that the romance of making confetti has spread to the workers with Jim and Jess recently getting married and another 25 couples meeting and getting married whilst working there making confetti.

Fife
In the final episode of the series, Christine heads to Scotland where she sees ancient markings in a cave and learns the secrets behind the immaculate beaches in the area.
Local guide Mike McFarlane meets Christine on Fife's historical coastal path near East Wemyss to tell her about some surprising secrets hidden on the route which stretches 170 miles along the coast through fishing villages to St Andrews. The path has been used through the decades by fisherman and pilgrims. Mike and Christine explore the caves in the cliff side that are home to incredible ancient drawings up to 4000 years old. Mike explains he believes some of the drawings and markings are there to mark an important historical event which these days would be reported on the news.
