For five years, Roman Hoflinger and Curt Prank have been rival partners in the brewery, and Clara's share of the deal is the deciding factor in every business decision. Torn between her father and her husband, she hopes for a fresh start in America with Roman, as their marriage is at stake. Prank, over Roman's head, puts everything on the line with a gigantic innovation for the 1905 Oktoberfest! But a new rival sees his opportunity to take advantage of the dispute.

The devastating fire not only ends Clara and Roman's dreams for the future, but also leads to the final rift between Roman and Prank. Roman decides to get rid of his business partner and allies himself with the competition. Prank is determined to prevent this – by any means necessary. This rivalry is driving Clara into the arms of another. After her agonizing time in prison, Colina Kandl finds a new home in the "Deutsche Eiche" inn, while her son Maxi has no idea of her release.

Prank has freed his sworn enemy Maria from a psychiatric hospital and lifted her incapacitation in order to stop Roman's merger with Capital Bräu. But she surprisingly supports her son. With no alternative, Prank blackmails his daughter in an attempt to stop the merger. Clara frees herself and confesses the affair and the blackmail to Roman! Deeply hurt and manipulated by Maria, Roman challenges Prank to a duel! After the destruction of the "Oak Tree," Nappi and Colina search for a way to raise money.

Because of Clara's affair, Maria and Mertz urge Roman to get a divorce and finally merge. After a shocking discovery, Clara decides to fight for her marriage and the brewery. With the help of Colina and Nappi, Clara tries to convince her husband of her love and a future at Oktoberfest! Since Clara is once again thwarting Maria's plans, Maria is now determined to take action!
