The series takes place during the full-scale Russian invasion. Roman, the main character of the series, helps his ex-wife Yulia and their son leave the city for the village where Yulia's parents live. The village seems to be a safer place, but within hours it is under occupation. The Russian invaders quickly established their order: looting shops, searching homes, and severely punishing anyone who resisted. Frightened and confused, the locals are trapped, but they do not lose hope for liberation. Realizing that help will be a long time coming, Roman decides to take decisive action and joins the guerrilla movement.
