The women's 400m hurdles showdown between Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and Femke Bol promised to be one of the highlights of these Games, while sprinter Noah Lyles and Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra were among the star names seeking to become Olympic champions.
