Born in Nigeria and raised in London before going to live with his aunt in the sleepy coastal town of Stranraer, Bemz shares his story and the soundtrack that has shaped his path to becoming an award-winning artist.
With music as his passion, Bemz moved to Ayr to study the subject at college before finding his voice and groove as an artist. Fast forward to 2022, where the rapper was crowned BBC Introducing in Scotland's Act of the Year, the first artist to be awarded the prize. With new music on the way, Bemz chats to Kerr about his influences and musical loves, from System of a Down to Scottish star Kobi Onyame.
