"Our Dazzling Days" tells the story of children who grew up in family housing communities surrounding industrial plants and the factory they called home. In 1990, on the outskirts of Northeast China, a military factory stood tall, surrounded by shops, hospitals, schools, and residential compounds. The carefree "No-Brain" Xiaoman and the rule-abiding "No-Fun" Xia Lei became friends with Yan Xiaodan, a girl who dreamed of sailing the seas. Together, they lived through dazzling, sunlit days of youth.As their youth faded, so too did the factory's glory.
