This edition takes a look at the Isle of Gigha, where Tony and Catriona have settled and set themselves up as oyster farmers. Plus, cameras follow French-born Marie, who works as a fire officer on the tiny Scottish island of Fair Isle.

Episode 2
All four nations of the UK feature in this edition, with cameras touring the tiny island of Easdale in the Inner Hebrides, Northern Ireland's largest inhabited island, Rathlin, and the Isles of Scilly. Plus, the Welsh island of Bardsey makes an appearance.

Episode 3
This edition takes a look at the lives of the residents of the Welsh island of Bardsey, which includes Gareth and his wife Meriel, who farm and run a small cafe from their house. Plus, exploring the Scottish island of Eriskay, which is just three miles long and one and a half miles wide, as well as the small island of Flat Holm, located just five miles outside Cardiff.

Along the way, they meet alternate-universe versions of characters we've come to know and love from The Big Bang Theory. As the title implies, things don't go well.

Karl Alberg moves to a quiet coastal town to soothe a psyche that has been battered by big-city police work. But this gentle paradise has more than its share of secrets, and Karl will need to call upon all the skills that made him a world-class detective in solving the murders that, even in this seemingly idyllic setting, continue to wash up on his shore.
