An agoraphobic arm-chair detective, Bell Prescott, is paired up with a reluctant traffic cop, Cammie Lorde. When a dead body winds up on Prescott's doorstep, he and Cammie are forced to wrestle with personal demons, some shocking twists and a few Florida gators on their journey to heal themselves and their small Florida town.

After Bell and Cammie attempt to steal highly confidential files, Bell calls a family dinner to finally expose the grand conspiracy, but tensions run high with everyone finally in the same room.

As everybody else is forced to move on, Bell struggles with his lack of closure until a new detail emerges regarding Vida's family. Amid trying to put the final pieces together, Cammie faces a tense mediation.
