Gangsterens første offer får en unik mulighed for at få ram på sin drabsmand. Han kan nemlig sætte en fælde for gangsteren. Hans "partner in crime" har en travl dag på hotellet, hvor han kæmper for at lede mistanken væk fra ham selv og gangsteren. De to vælger senere på dagen at skyde en af hotellets største personligheder, hvilket skaber stort drama. Om aftenen er der gangsterfest med letpåklædte damer og fyre i jakkesæt, men de to ofre er ikke i festhumør. De spekulerer intenst på, hvem gangsteren mon kan være. Da natten falder på er der drama hos et par, mens et andet går hele vejen?
