Pat & Mat are neighbours and best friends who love building things and going about doing things in all the wrong ways. But they never lose spirit and they always achieve their goals, even if only for a short time before everything tumbles down. Initially they have no names assigned until in later episodes when they move out from apartment and into next-door houses where Pat & Mat names can be seen on their respective houses. There is no voice-acting whatsoever and music and sound effects do all the talking. Pat & Mat are not CG animated and the entire series uses stop motion technique.
