1880 - Maud Castallack, estranged from both her husband and the Cornish estate on which she was born, summons her elder son Mark to London. Having callously abandoned him some four years before this meeting, the reunion is not without significance.... Maud decides to tell Mark about ' the inheritance '

1890: Mark, now aged 20, has learnt he is heir to Penmarric. Weary of Maud's obsession with 'the Inheritance', he quarrels with her, and decides to visit his father at Deveral ...

1890: Janna has firmly rejected Mark's attentions. He finds his subsequent involvement with Rose Parrish brings its own problems... But Laurence's dying wish points him once again in the direction of Roslyn

Episode 4
1890: Mark and Janna have fallen passionately in love. Janna tells Mark about her early life ... and about her love affair with his father. The couple quarrel violently, and Janna fears she may never see him again....

Episode 5
1896: Mark and Janna have married, and Mark has finally inherited Penmarric. They have moved to the estate but Janna's frequent pregnancies have caused a rift between them. Janna, to her horror, has discovered Mark has a mistress ...

Episode 6
1903: Although Mark has promised he will not see Rose Parrish again, he has left Penmarric to continue his studies in Oxford, leaving Janna with the children.
During a visit to Brighton with Philip, Janna has discovered Mark at the same hotel with Kose and their two sons. In the course of a violent quarrel, Mark has assaulted Janna

Episode 7
1912: Janna has refused Mark a divorce. In turn, Mark has been granted custody of their children, who have gone to Oxford to live with him and the Parrish family. Janna, following the birth of her unwanted son Jan-Yves, has returned to Roslyn where Philip joins her. To Mark's sorrow, Rose has died

Episode 8
1915: Mark has returned to Penmarric with the Castallack and Parrish children. Philip has remained at Roslyn with Janna She and Mark have endeavoured to reconcile their differences, but are unable to forget the past. Philip has tried to blackmail Mark Adrian , increasingly unhappy at
Penmarric, has run away to enhst at the front

Episode 9
1926: with the outbreak of war, Philip has obtained government aid to re-open Sennen Garth. Assisted by Alun Trevose , Philip sees the mine expand beyond expectations. After the war, demand for tin falls and the mine suffers critical setbacks. In 1926 Mark decides to close Sennen Garth.

Episode 10
Following Philip's attempt to blackmail his father on the grounds of his alleged adultery with Alice, Mark has suifered a stroke-and has died, making fhitin the unexpected heir Penmarric. He and Helena have married, but their honeymoon has proved a disaster.

Episode 11
1932: Philip's relationship with Helena remains troubled and he has consulted a London psychiatrist. His friendship with Alun Trevose has deepened, to the detriment of his marriage. Alun is killed in the Sennen Garth disaster and Philip goes to Canada. To Jan-Yves's anger he has made Jonas, Rebecca's child, heir to Penmarric ...

Episode 12
1937: Contrary to Philip's instructions, Jan-Yves has moved into Penmarric and he remains there until Philip returns from Canada. Helena and Philip are subsequently reconciled. Rebecca has accused Philip of assaulting Jonas. As a result, Philip alters his will: Jan-Yves is now heir to Penmarric.

Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and lest known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Before joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed The Colbert Report, which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one-third of the time. Good luck, Bill!

Cops
COPS follows police officers, constables, and sheriff's deputies during patrols and various police activities by embedding camera crews with their units. The show's formula adheres to a classic cinéma vérité ethos. With no narration or scripted dialog, it depends entirely on the commentary of the officers and on the actions of the people with whom they come into contact.

Saint-Pierre
After Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Inspector Donny "Fitz" Fitzpatrick digs too deeply into a local politician's nefarious activity, he is exiled to work in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon (the French Territory nestled in the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Newfoundland). Fitz's arrival disrupts the life of Deputy Chief Geneviève "Arch" Archambault, a Parisian transplant who is in Saint-Pierre for her own intriguing reasons.
As if by fate, these two seasoned officers — with very different policing skills and approaches — are forced together to solve unique and exciting crimes. Although the islands seem like a quaint tourist destination, the idyllic façade conceals the worst kind of criminal activity which tend to wash up on its beautiful shores. At first at odds and suspicious of each other, Arch and Fitz soon discover that they are better together... a veritable crime-fighting force.
