People like single mum and determined job hunter Sade, who always dresses to impress. We also meet Mo, the joking shopkeeper whose body is his temple, Antonio, whose criminal past is never far behind and sisters Becky and Louise, looking for love against the odds.

Pete the wrestler is under pressure to impress his home crowd, and Sarah, who runs a community gardening scheme, is having trouble getting the residents of Chelmsley Wood into the flower beds.

Teen mum Sophie is reluctant to leave the hotel of mum and dad and local taxi driver Joe likes to give his customers a good time in his disco minibus.
