After being fired, Ann plans on leaving Peyton Place, but Mike convinces her to stay. Chris is shocked to hear Ann was fired because of their conversation, but doesn't want to do anything about it. Lee finally agrees with Sandy's wishes to leave Peyton Place. Chris tells Lee they both know Ann didn't pushed her off the bluff, suggesting Lee was the guilty one. Norman asks Betty why he isn't involved with the Harrington/Peyton family anymore. Leslie offers to help Ann get a job, but Steven soon notices it's just a way to get information from her. Ann announces to Lee she isn't going anywhere, after which Lee almost runs her down with his motorcycle.
