Norman and Rita make up, but when they kiss, Rita notices he still isn't over the fact she and Joe once dated. She admits she kissed him back when he forced himself upon her at the prom night. In his apartment, Rod sees Norman's scratched face and demands to know who did that, but Norman refuses to answer. Meanwhile, Claire announces she is going back to Peru with Vincent. Doris hires a woman named Sheri as the temporary babysitter. David fires her when she reacts weird about Kim being deaf. He next urges Doris to ask Allison as her replacement, but she refuses to. Norman admits to Rod Joe was the one who beat him up and that he is now able to kill him.
