Norman and Rita offer to have Rachel live with them, but Michael tells them they can't take her in because they are only 19 years old. Elliot feels that Leslie is trying to convince him to hate Peyton. Rachel feels that she is being punished for having left the hospital. She promises Michael she will work hard if she can stay at the hospital, but he responds that the hospital is for sick people only. As a reaction, she stabs herself in the hand. Meanwhile, Steven fears that Peyton's testimony could ruin his career. Rodney feels guilty about having sent Rachel to the police.
