While Emil faces charges for his sister's death, Helena becomes the subject of a city-wide scandal and begins to investigate Honest Jan.

When a fire breaks out at the paper, Helena faces increased scrutiny. Later, another woman falls prey to Honest Jan.

While Ewa takes matters into her own hands, Helena grows suspicious of Maks, and Emil learns more about his sister's final days.

As the cops close in on Maks, Helena works to keep control of the paper away from Denar. Later, Róża preys on Helena's struggles.

After an overdose, Maks has Helena committed, while a scorned Róża chooses a path forward. Later, Emil faces his sister's abuser.
