Tia scrambles after receiving a phone call about a severely emaciated pit bull, one of the worst cases she has ever seen. And, a campaign to build a shelter in a NY prison depends on Earl to convince authoties about the benefits of prison dog programs.

Tia sends Mariah to California to rescue a former member of the VRC family. A puppy's chance at a forever home is jeopardized by her behavior and Tia jumps into action after receiving an emergency call about an abandoned pit bull.

When Tia hears about a pit bull tied up and abandoned in a vacant lot, she and Perry race to save him. Tia has a surprise in store for a returning adopter in search of a new family member. And a request from Earl's son becomes a lesson in hard work.

A veteran makes a heartbreaking plea for help being reunited with his dogs. A shelter overwhelmed by dogs rescued from shocking conditions seeks Tia's assistance. And a former volunteer returns to VRC in search of a new family member.

Following a painful break-up, a single dad visits Villalobos in the hope of finding a new pit bull companion for himself and his son. Then, Mariah and Toney rescue a puppy that may never walk if he doesn't get the surgery he desperately needs.

A rescue leads to a heart-wrenching discovery when Tia takes the dog to the vet. The community rallies to help Earl raise funds for surgery. Mariah is forced to conquer her greatest fear when an adopter with an uique challenge arrives at VRC.

After spending over 10 years in VRC's kennels, a Hurricane Katrina survivor has a shot at a forever home. And, Louise and Matt search for a loose pit bull on the streets and end up finding more than they bargained for.

When a blind pit bull is attacked by other dogs, the Villalobos team steps-in and takes responsibility for his recovery. And, a couple from Pittsburgh mourning the loss of their pit bull, visits Villalobos and fall in love with one of Tia's favorite dogs.

After her beloved dog passes away, an adopter comes to VRC hoping to fill the void in her heart. Louise and Matt rescue a dog that was hit by a car. And Tia's appearance on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is threatened when her dog gets sick.

After risking life and limb to rescue a scared pit bull, Tia finds herself battling with a local shelter over the dog's fate. And, after a long recovery, a dog that was rescued from the brink of death finally has a shot at a forever home in Boston.
