El Lopes ha acceptat l'encàrrec de fer de "negre" d'en Quim Monzó per escriure-li uns contes. Per la seva part, el David ha decidit fer de director de cinema i rodar una pel·lícula però abans necessita escriure un guió. Així doncs, els dos es troben a casa per escriure les seves idees però no se'ls acut res. Davant la falta d'idees, el David decideix rodar la pel·lícula sense guió i contracta els seus companys de l'Institut del Teatre, però com que no els dóna guió ni cap referència sobre els personatges, els companys no saben què fer i se'n van. Després ho prova amb l'Emma i la iaia, però tampoc funciona i finalment decideix filmar paisatges. Mentrestant, al Lopes li ha vingut la inspiració mentre era a la ràdio i escriu els contes en hores de feina. Després d'entregar els contes, el Monzó bat records de vendes amb els contes publicats i el Lopes, una mica envejós, li confessa a la Mercedes que ell és el "negre" del Monzó. La Mercedes convida el Monzó a Ràdio Bofarull per entrevistar-lo i li prepara un parany perquè confessi, però de sobte, apareix el Sergi Pàmies per acusar al Monzó de plagi. Encara s'enreda més tot quan el Lopes diu que és el secretari del Monzó i confessa que va copiar els contes de la Maria de la Pau Janer.
