La Maria ha nascut i el Lopes se sent l'home més feliç del món. Il·lusionat amb la seva nova vida, comença a pensar i a planejar el seu futur amb la seva filla. Per altra banda, la Carbonell i l'Emma inicien una lluita aferrissada per ser la padrina de la nena, i el David s'adona que no sent cap tipus d'emoció envers la Maria i comença a preocupar-se per la seva insensibilitat. Mentrestant, tal com tenia pensat inicialment, la Lídia ha decidit a tornar al Brasil per ser mare soltera, però després de veure la il·lusió que té el Lopes amb la nena, no sap com dir-li per no ensorrar-lo. Finalment li explica la trista noticia al Lopes i aquest, per no pensar més en la Maria, comença a treballar molt dur i moltes hores per poder triomfar a la ràdio. El David, per demostrar que és molt sensible, munta una festa de comiat molt emotiva a la Lídia.
