Episode 1
Ryan Hansen tries to get Kristen Bell and The CW execs Mark Pedowitz and Thom Sherman on board for a spinoff starring his Veronica Mars character, Dick Casablancas, as a private detective.

Episode 2
Rob Thomas, co-creator of Veronica Mars, is asked about his involvement in the spinoff. Ryan and Jason Dohring - who is really pumped about the new show - discuss ideas. Ryan reaches out to Chris Lowell to get involved.

Episode 3
Enrico Colantoni tells Ryan he is down to do the show - in return for a small favor. Percy Daggs III also agrees to put in an appearance - barely.

Episode 4
Francis Capra talks type-casting with Ryan, and Ryan talks type with Ken Marino. Meanwhile, a dancer named Gaston gets enthusiastic about the need to practice the major dance number.

Episode 5
When Jason Dohring isn't happy with his role in the show, Ryan quickly finds a replacement. Filming begins. So does the body count.

Episode 6
As the spinoff unrolls with Dick on the case of a murder (and his stolen sunglasses), he is reunited with Madison Sinclair and the ghost of his brother, Beaver. But this is TV 101, and no character is safe from the proverbial death knell.

Episode 7
Dick calls Veronica for backup. An epic fight takes place between Dick and an Asian chef, Will Dick come out on top?

Episode 8
A surprising twist in the murder mystery takes place, and Veronica reunited with an old flame. Oh, and that major dance scene? It happens. Twice.
