The second season is set an unspecified number of years after the first season, and quite a few things have changed. Josh and Thomas now live with a cute new roommate, Patrick, Claire is in Germany, Josh is no longer an only child, and Mum is admitted to a psychiatric hospital. Somewhere in the middle of it all, Josh meets Arnold.
