Derek suspects that an inmate on Death Row is responsible for a series of killings identical to those which he was convicted.

Following Jennifer Hollybrook's funeral, her fiance, Jeffrey Sandor, tells Alex he'd like to help with the investigation. After she leaves, Sandor approaches Father Norman, the priest who gave Corvus his Last Rites. When Sandor defends Corvus's actions, the priest becomes scared and runs off.

Derek and Kristin head to a small town to investigate several mysterious deaths by strangulation. The spirit of a woman wrongly hanged for murder seeks revenge on those responsible.

A patient of Rachel's disappears and bequeaths a large beautiful painting to her. Rachel is drawn to the mysterious artwork and seduced and sucked into it by its artist. Meanwhile, Kat falls into friendship with a witch, Miranda, and learns more about herself in the process.

Sensing that her granddaughter, Alex, may be in danger, Rose Moreau travels from Baton Rouge to San Francisco to give her a protective medallion to wear. Rose suddenly takes ill and is admitted to a hospital, but doctors are unable to help her. When she slips into a coma, Alex has no choice but to resurrect the spirit of a dangerous shaman who may be the only one who can help.

The usually close-knit team turns on Derek and accuses him of killing an innocent man. Unaware that their suspicions are being controlled by a malevolent spirit trying destroy their leader, the ensuing confrontation throws into focus a series of questions and fears about what each of them is doing on a daily basis.

Cross proceeds with the Darkside's scheme to infiltrate the Legacy by being appointed interim precept while the San Francisco House members mourn Derek's apparent suicide.

Nick's deceased brother tries to escape from hell, however the "soul-chaser" is determined to take him back there.

Kat's new friend, Miranda, may have ulterior motives when convincing Kat to hone her witchcraft abilities to gain control of her magical powers.

Derek's friend Milo releases a genie from her bottle who uses the opportunity to seek revenge on her previous masters who would not wish her free.

Years after he drowns, the restless spirit of a boy seeks to avenge his death.

An ancient Boston catacomb is unearthed, releasing a malevolent spirit that may threaten the Legacy. Father Philip Callaghan returns.

After leaving the Legacy, Kristin plans to help expose the murderous Benjamin Church after the alliance between "Doctor" Benjamin Church and Horton causes Ethan's death.

Nick's former Navy buddy, Mike MacCreedy resurfaces with a strange woman who seems familiar to Nick and exhibits an unnatural interest in him.

While searching for the killer of Derek's lover, Horton turns Derek and Alex against each other.

Kat forms a bond with a mysterious girl who pushes her into dangerous situations. Miranda is back.

Rachel and Alex investigate the violent death of a young monk and find that the Darkside is planning to unseal a secret portal to hell.

One of Rachel's long-time patients inherits the family mansion and is menaced by the "ghosts" that inhabit the house, which result in life-threatening asthma attacks.

Kat faces mortal danger when she resumes her friendship with an ailing Miranda. To save Kat, Rachel must find magic powers from the past, a past she would prefer to forget.

Alex struggles to cure Nick, and stay alive, after he is infected by a demonic parasite which makes him see evil all around him, including the very person who is trying so desperately to save him.

An ancient deck of Tarot Cards enlivens a tedious evening for Derek, Nick, and Alex. However, each card underscores the high personal cost of their allegiance to the Legacy.

Plagued by nightmares and visitations from his father's evil spirit, Derek fears that the portal to hell has been breached. He is faced with an agonizing decision—to stop the anti-Christ he may have to destroy all that he holds dear.
