Musical documentary presented by Julie Fowlis and Muireann NicAmhlaoibh. They visit Orkney to discover more about traditional music in the islands. Port reveals their shared musical heritage and we hear from their musical friends who have roots in Orkney. Accompanying Julie and Muireann are renowned Irish musician Liam Ó Maonlaí and, from the US, Liz Carroll. Among the musicians playing with them will be Kris Drever, The Wrigley Sisters, The Unthanks and Lynched. Liz Carroll and Muireann meet local musicians Billy Jolly and Owen Tierney for a rendition of local tune Butter on the Bow.
