Glaschu/Glasgow
With Julie Fowlis and Muireann NicAmhlaoibh. Julie and Muireann visit Glasgow to uncover more about traditional music in the city. Port reveals their shared musical heritage and we hear from their musical friends living in the city. Julie and Muireann investigate the music and culture associated with particular cities and areas in Scotland and in Ireland. In each episode, their quest is shared with two guest musicians. Accompanying Muireann from Ireland are renowned singer Eilis Kennedy and one of the best concertina players around, Edel Fox. They discover that Glasgow is brimful of talent and the foursome meet Karen Matheson, Linda MacLeod, Ceitlin LR Smith and concertina wizard, Simon Thoumire.

Dublin/Baile Àtha Cliath
In Dublin, Port reveals their shared musical heritage. Port celebrates the common musical heritage of the longtime friends and collaborators as they cross borders and traditions between the west of Ireland and the Western Isles, meeting and playing with friends and musicians en route. Singer Darren MacLean and piper Carole-Anne MacKay join our musical hosts for a tour of several iconic venues. True to form, Dublin doesn't disappoint and gives up some musical gems.

An Clàr, Èireann/Co. Clare
The duo visit the town of Milltown Malbay, during the world-famous Willie Clancy festival. Accompanying Julie and Muireann are two Scottish musicians - multi-instrumentalist Allan Henderson and one of our finest pipers, Allan MacDonald. They discover that Milltown Malbay is brimful of musical talent during Willie Clancy week and the four musicians meet Paddy Glackin, Maighread Ní Dhomhnaill, Josephine Marsh, Mick Kinsella and the Friel Sisters for conversation and some lively musical sessions.

An t-Eilean Sgitheanach/Isle of Skye
In this episode, Julie and Muireann visit Skye and Lochaber and accompanying them from Ireland are renowned musician Michelle Mulcahy and one of the best fiddle players around, Dónal O'Connor. The northwest of Scotland has always been noted for musicianship and they discover that Lochaber and the Isle of Skye are brimming with talent. They meet Anne Martin and Angus Nicolson in Skye and the brilliant fiddle players Angus Grant and Ewan Henderson in Lochaber for conversation and some lively musical sessions.

Ciarri/Kerry
In this episode Julie and Muireann visit Co Kerry. Accompanying them from Scotland are renowned singer James Graham and the brilliant Glennfinnan musician, Iain MacFarlane. The south west of Ireland and Co Kerry have long been noted for the calibre of their musicians - the lads meet the bands Lumiere and Cuas, plus Pádraig Ó Sé for some craic and lively musical sessions.

North Uist
In this programme, Julie and Muireann visit North Uist and Berneray and accompanying them from Ireland are top musicians Donnchadh Gough and Síle Denvir. Uist has long been renowned for songs, piping and a strong oral tradition and welcoming them to Uist are tradition bearers, pipers and singers including Rona Lightfoot; Catriona Garbutt and Gillebrìde MacMillan.

Episode 7
Julie and Muireann cross borders and traditions from the Western Isles to the west coast of Ireland, meeting and making music en route. In this episode we'll see Julie and Muireann visit several locations that are synonymous with folk song, music and folklore. Welcoming them to each destination will be musicians, pipers and singers, including Gillebrìde MacMillan in Uist and Daoirí Farrell in Dublin.
