Ongoing episodes find Shade and Angie investigating high-stakes crimes in the worlds of horse racing, fine dining, Toronto's vibrant hip-hop scene, scandalous literature, magic clubs, and more.

They still view the world through different lenses, but have learned to use each other's strengths to their mutual advantage…mostly. With their new equal partnership comes a booming business, and they opt to hire an assistant in the form of quirky Zoe Chow. Zoe also acts as a buffer and translator when Shade and Angie fall into their old habits. With new cases come new faces, each with their own indelible story and effect on Shade and Angie.
