Season 1
The series revolves around renowned surgeon, Dr. Addison Montgomery, as she leaves the Grace Hospital in Seattle and moves to California, where she joins a group of her old medical school friends at a private practice in Los Angeles.

The prognosis is for a unique blend of everything you love most: wit, passion and lots of complications as Private Practice goes public.


Season 3
Addison learns a huge secret about her past while dealing with new feelings for a friend, Sam and Naomi receive a life-changing announcement from their daughter, Copper's personal life is affected when Charlotte joins the practice, Dell struggles to raise a daughter on his own, and Violet realises she has an important decision to make regarding the well-being of her baby.


Season 4
Join the Oceanside Wellness Group family as they try to balance work, friendship and love while they lean on each other for the help and support they need. As Pete and Violet prepare for their wedding day, disagreements at the clinic put a strain on Addison and Sam's relationship. Meanwhile, Charlotte and Cooper struggle in the aftermath of a traumatic personal event, and Derek's sister, Amelia, returns from Seattle with a destructive secret. It's a season of change and new hope for Dr. Addison Montgomery and her colleagues.


Season 5
Addison and her family at the practice face a whole new set of challenges as Addisons decides she wants a baby, with or without Sam. Pete's health scare puts a strain on his marriage to Violet, Charlotte's past comes back to haunt her and Amelia succumbs to her destructive habits. Plus, with the arrival of an attractive new doctor and the discovery of Cooper's illegitmate son, the doctor's relationships are pushed to the limit.


Season 6
Violet has to adapt to a new way of life, Sheldon tries to deal with his illness and Charlotte is given some unwelcome news.

The series is based on Patricia Cornwell's literary hero, a brilliant forensic pathologist, inspired by former Virginia Chief Medical Examiner Marcella Farinelli Fierro, who uses forensic technology to solve crimes.
