Ten men and women leave their day-to-day lives to take on the challenge of a lifetime - with a £100,000 prize at stake. In their very first week, they jump from a speeding helicopter and face a leap into a 200ft canyon - while their loved ones watch anxiously from a studio back home.

Episode 2
The remaining adventurers face a gruelling all-or-nothing race through the Sahara Desert. For the losers, Reggie reveals a magic carpet ride with a twist, while their partners watch from a studio back home, waiting to find out if they'll have to face make-or-break questions.

Episode 3
In the ancient city of Fes, the adventurers have to find hidden treasures to avoid a terrifying leap into one of North Africa's largest caves. In the studio, their loved ones watch, before three of them face a series of questions to keep their partners in the game.

Episode 4
Prized Apart from their loved ones, the adventurers build a boat and row across a huge reservoir in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. The losers face their toughest challenge yet - a jaw-dropping abseil down a thundering 360-foot waterfall. Back home in the studio, their loved ones fight to keep them in the £100,000 competition.

Episode 5
The five remaining adventurers face off in the 'sardine capital of the world', Essaouira. The losers are sent across a treacherous rope bridge hundreds of feet above the ground - blindfolded - while in the studio three contestants face make-or-break questions.

Episode 6
Final episode of the adventure game show. Four adventurers remain, but only three can make it back to the studio for an emotional reunion with their loved ones, as they battle to win the £100,000 prize. To getthere, they'll have to beat an enormous 700-foot dam and catch the most important flight of their lives before their partners do battle in a quiz.

The Terror

The series is named after Dan Simmons's 2007 novel, which serves as the basis for the first season and is a fictionalized account of Captain Sir John Franklin's lost expedition to the Arctic in 1845–1848.
The second season, subtitled Infamy, bears no relation to the book or first season and is mostly set in an American-run Japanese internment camp during World War II.
