Probe - Season 1

Season 1

Episodes

Computer Logic
In this two-hour premiere, secretary Micki Castle gets a job with scientific genius Austin James, head of a research think tank named Serendip. Austin is more interested in solving the mysteries of the universe than running his company, and gets involved in two cases: a computer AI that has learned how to kill, and a woman who froze to death under impossible circumstances.

Untouched by Human Hands
A Serendip scientist apparently commits suicide in an irradiated lab, making it impossible to confirm that he's dead. Austin comes up with a way, but still believes that the man was murdered... and that the victim isn't who they believe it is.

Black Cats Don't Walk Under Ladders (Do They?)
A talk show host challenges a witch to prove her powers, and she ends up cursing him to death. Austin soon learns that the cause of death is a genetically-tailored virus... and he's the next target.

Metamorphic Anthropoidic Prototype Over You
Mickey convinces Austin to examine a "mape": a Metamorphic Anthropoidic Prototype. In other words, an orangutan that has had its intelligence enhanced to near-human levels. Austin is soon convinced that the mape, Josephine, is legitimate… and may be a murderer.

Now You See It...
Austin's infallible elevator system is seemingly responsible for the death of two executives, and if Austin doesn't figure out how it failed then more deaths may occur.

Plan 10 from Outer Space
A s.f. writer begs Austin to come to his home in the desert to protect him from an electrical alien who has been his silent collaborator for the last 25 years and has finally had enough.

Quit-It
A teenager who has spent time in a psychiatric hospital claims that her parents have been replaced by imposters, and Austin and Mickey soon determine that there may be some truth to what she's saying.
