30 years ago the Cold War ended. The collapse of the USSR turned America and Europe into the center of the world. It seemed to futurologists that the end of history had come: the wars were over, and poverty, disease and hunger were about to disappear forever. But instead of solving old problems, the richest countries on the planet began to create new ones. The West is overwhelmed by social conflicts. The flaws of the new world order came to light. How to stop racism? What to do with migrants? Why are far-right ideas flourishing again? All this is covered in the documentary series "First World Problems."
