The series takes over a hundred years. From New Year's Eve 1900 to 2000. Each episode is a separate storyline together, telling about a move and lost during her subject. The only link between the different parts of a family Goldfinches, director of the company, transporting possessions of man changing a flat. By the will of the writer in the background of each of the twenty-one stories unfold momentous historical events. They are not, of course without affecting the story of a family Goldfinches.
