Sarah
Fifteen-year-old Sarah is at odds with the world. She dreams of leaving Avetrana and her house. It happens on August 26, when she turns onto via Grazia Deledda towards the beach. The destination, however, is not the sea, but a sad fate.

Sabrina
Sabrina, a local beautician, is very protective of her cousin Sarah. But their relationship has shifted for some time now. On August 26th, Sabrina waits in vain for Sarah's arrival and begins to have a bad feeling. She immediately organizes a search party. The media circus is on and she is under its spell.

Michele
Michele Misseri, Sabrina's father, finds Sarah's phone on the morning of September 29th. While everything feels inexplicable, his confession comes in the middle of a live TV show, and the recovery of the body provides compelling evidence. The case seems closed, but the investigation goes on.
