Set in Villa Rauzán, the telenovela centers onSebastián de Mendoza, a mysterious man known for seducing women and then leaving them. He's also suffering from catalepsy, a disease that he has inherited from his father. He meets Soledad de Santiño, a young woman belonging to a prestigious family, and falls in love with her. But one day before his wedding with Soledad, he suffers a cataleptic attack and is buried alive.
