Brad Daugherty: Retired NBA legend Brad Daugherty never won an NBA title, so he took a route to a championship through a very different sport: NASCAR. In February, Daugherty, now the owner of a racing team, won the most important race in American motorsports – the Daytona 500 – and in doing so made NASCAR history, becoming the first Black owner to capture the circuit's top prize.
