Mauricio saves Miranda from some men who were trying to rape her on the beach. Together, they celebrate her birthday. Miranda arrives to teach her first class and is met with a surprise.

The police investigate what happened and decide to completely isolate Mauricio. They forbid the tutoring sessions from continuing and ban any form of communication with Miranda. Miranda returns to Miami.

Joaquín hands Mauricio the report about Miranda that he found in Jaime's apartment. Mauricio summons Martha so she can tell him about Juan Pablo Reyes.

Miranda decides to travel to Mexico without telling anyone. Mauricio's scholarship is approved. He tells his mother that the only way to celebrate his achievement is by forgiving Miranda.

Miranda saves Olivia from suffocating during an attack by another inmate; they are taken to a maximum-security wing. Miranda gives birth and hands her baby over to Mauricio.

Miranda suffers from being separated from her baby. Olivia regains her freedom and discovers that Juan Pablo has a plan involving Miranda's daughter; she threatens to kill him if he doesn't reveal his intentions.

Miranda and Mauricio are free and together, but Juan Pablo continues with his plan to kidnap the girl and follows them. The family is complete and happy, for now.
