Renovation Rescue - Season 1

Erick and Caroline's 1980s bungalow extension in Enfield has left them seriously out of pocket and downhearted. They had a vision of a 'Japandi' - a Japanese/Scandinavian-inspired open-plan kitchen, dining and living area and a colourful bedroom. But it's in jeopardy after they lost tens of thousands of pounds on building work that had to be re-done, leaving them facing a massive overspend. Stacey's determined to help them realise their dream, by showing them how to tackle jobs themselves to help them save money. Stacey also makes a start on her own DIY project, building a wall in her garage to separate her home gym from her husband Joe's fishing gear. Then she helps Erick and Caroline get to grips with plumbing, floor-fitting and laying decking. And she also brings them beautiful, achievable DIY design ideas including a stunning oak-panelled room divider and a striking colour-blocking paint scheme for their bedroom.

Jo and Darryl in Devon are in desperate need of help after building inspectors condemned £127,000 worth of work on their sea-view home, leaving them with just £30,000 to start all over again. Stacey shows them how to make the most of their money by taking on jobs themselves including fitting their own kitchen and flooring.

Stacey helps a father and daughter in Suffolk whose hopes for a fresh start after a bereavement were dashed when building work went badly wrong, leaving them tens of thousands of pounds out of pocket. To make their remaining budget go further, Stacey helps them to rethink the design of their home and teaches them how to do jobs themselves to save even more money, including switching out windows for doors and fitting out their own fireplace. Stacey also gives the pair design tips inspired by a cosy industrial aesthetic that's perfect for their multigenerational household. Over at Pickle Cottage, Stacey continues to upgrade her home gym.

Stacey brings her DIY skills and design know-how to the Forest of Dean to help couple Katie and Chris, who are too scared to get started on renovating their first home. Having lost their confidence following an early bad experience with tradespeople, their vision of transforming the kitchen and dining room of their dated semi into a quirky, colourful space is on hold. Stacey encourages them to face their demons and get stuck in, showing them how to tackle some ambitious jobs. But Katie and Chris have just £15,000 to spend, so Stacey is going to need some clever design solutions to bring their build in on budget. At Pickle Cottage, Stacey takes on another equally ambitious project: upgrading an indoor-outdoor space beside the swimming pool.

They dream of transforming their characterless 1970s semi-detached home into a timeless, classy home with a period feel. But with just £10,000 to add a kitchen and transform the ground floor, Stacey has her work cut out. To help Shariqa and Imani get over the line, she encourages them to take on ambitious DIY tasks, including tiling with tricky marble tiles, creating their own panelling and building flat-pack kitchen units. Stacey also brings them money-saving design ideas from colour suggestions to clever hacks using off-the-shelf items to create bespoke built-in furniture. At Pickle Cottage, Stacey takes the plunge to learn new plumbing skills as part of her project to upgrade an indoor-outdoor space she's doing up in her own home.

Stacey heads to Bradford to help a busy multigenerational household, who dream of creating a spacious kitchen diner where they can host extended family feasts. Instead, after encountering problems, they are cooking in a building site. Meanwhile, at Pickle Cottage in Essex, Stacey pushes herself to tackle a new DIY skill, applying her own micro-cement.
