Rick operates the locks on the Rideau Canal; in BC's wine country, Rick stomps grapes at the Festival of the Grape.

Rick sails across Lake Ontario on the Playfair; Rick visits the University of British Columbia to see its cutting-edge research projects.

Rick goes in search of a lost ship in the Arctic Ocean; Rick attends Gjoa Haven's Shipwreck Festival.

Rick boards an ice-breaking vessel in Toronto Harbour and learns how to keep the shipping lanes open then visits the Interior Design Show to check out the latest from Canada's top designers

Rick checks in with athletes headed to another Winter Olympics including flag bearers Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue, Patrick Chan, Meghan Tandy, Kallie Humphries, Jessie Lumsden and more. He also chats with CBC Winter Olympics broadcaster Scott Russell.

Rick checks out the unique winter activities at The Forks in Winnipeg and heads to Toronto's Ryerson University School of Performance for singing, dancing and acting classes before taking the stage.

Rick joins country singer Brett Kissel's national tour in London, Ont.; and later checks out the Viking exhibit at Toronto's Royal Ontario Museum with comedian Ron James.
