Rita fears her boss's reaction to the news of her pregnancy. Those fears are heightened when they give her a promotion before she can tell them the news. Meanwhile, Shannon applies for a scholarship for a space camp.

Welcome to the Working Week
Rita and Patty give Owen a makeover in order to boost his confidence for an upcoming job interview. Meanwhile, Hallie asks Rita to kick Kip out of her band.

Stuck in the Middle with You
Patty says that Rita's wedding is boring. In order to show her that all marriages aren't simply routine, Rita goes clubbing with Jay and makes sure that Patty is a witness to their married night out.

The Shape of Things to Come
To avoid sharing a room due to the pending arrival of the new baby, Hallie decides to move into the attic. In order to clear out all of the junk, the family holds a garage sale. Meanwhile, Jay accidentally learns the baby's gender.

Mr. Bassman
Rita argues with the new neighbour Chuck because he plays loud music at all hours of the night. When Patty learns that Chuck is a bass player, she invites him to join the band, but to an unsatisfactory result.

Mommy's Alright, Daddy's Alright
Shannon's teacher tells Rita and Jay that their daughter should be in a school for gifted children; Rita encourages Hallie to volunteer somewhere to take her mind off not having a boyfriend.

Vogue
Rita is inspired by budding-designer Hallie to plan a fashion-show fundraiser, but gets discouraged when she sees the dress Hallie has made for her. Meanwhile, Shannon asks Jay for help with learning how to stack cups.

Bad Company
Rita and Patty get into a fight after an audition goes sour. Meanwhile Hallie goes to a college party without Rita's permission.

Why Can't We Be Friends?
Rita and Jay become friends with the parents of Shannon's classmate Brianna, but they are caught in an awkward situation when Shannon decides to end her friendship with her.

Mother and Child Reunion
When Rita's judgmental mother announces that she is coming for a visit, she begins doing excessive house-cleaning and hiding of junk food. But when she arrives with a much more relaxed attitude, Rita assumes that something is up.

Anchors Aweigh
When Rita goes out of town on business she leaves Marilyn and Jay in charge, but she wishes she hadn't when Jay and Marilyn's fighting leads to Rita's guitar being stolen.

Shower the People
Marilyn wants to help Patty in planning Rita's baby shower; however, the two cannot agree on anything. Hallie is jealous of Kip dating someone else.

Is She Really Going Out with Him?
Marilyn kindly offers to look after the girls so Rita and Jay can have a relaxing weekend. But while he is out shopping for things for the trip, Jay sees Marilyn flirting with a man that isn't her husband. Kip teaches Jasper how to play drums.

Sympathy for the Devil
When Rita's PTA nemesis, Jennifer, shows up at Bed and Bath, Rita helps her get a job at the store. Jay hires Kip to help with some work around the house.

Jingle All the Way
Rita and Patty enter a jingle contest for Glickman Family Chickens. Patty begrudgingly lets Chuck escort her to her high school reunion.

The Jealous Kind
Rita becomes jealous of Jay's gorgeous new co-worker, Stephanie; Sparks fly between Hallie and Kip when they go on a double date with Mitchell and Allison.

Should I Stay or Should I Go?
Rita and Patty secretly fill out an application for Kip to attend a performing arts high school. Meanwhile, Hallie gets back together with Kip.

Rita is ready to rock when the band finally lands their first regular paying gig, but the baby has other ideas.
