A sudden fire claims the landlord's life at Family Villa. As tenants question the cause, Geum Ae-yeon worries about her family and a possible rent hike.

Byeon Moo-jin settles at Family Villa, triggering Byeon Mi-rae's old grudges. To escape the tension with her once-estranged dad, she begins a house hunt.

Moo-jin promises free rent and ends the house hunt for Mi-rae, who's upset he's flaunting his wealth. He clarifies: He's doing it to win Ae-yeon back.

Moo-jin clears himself of suspicion in the fire incident. Later, Ae-yeon briefly disappears, leading to a chaotic family reunion at the police station.

Ae-yeon turns Moo-jin down at dinner but can't shake her lingering emotions. Curious, she starts looking into his mysterious 11-year absence.

Byeon Hyeon-jae moves into his dad's place, as per Mi-rae's wishes. Ae-yeon's tension eases when she learns about Moo-jin's time in Thailand.

Mi-rae leaves a note and goes missing — has she left Family Villa for good? Meanwhile, Moo-jin's unfortunate past begins to catch up with him.

Ae-yeon is furious after discovering Moo-jin and Mi-rae's bet involving her. But after calming down, she realizes they need to talk about their daughter.

Ae-yeon urges her daughter to lead her own life and even finds her a new place to stay, leaving Mi-rae both angry and confused.

Things are looking up for the Byeons as Ae-yeon finds a career opportunity, Mi-rae mentors a new recruit at work and Moo-jin faces his past with grace.

Moo-jin finally shares the story behind his newfound wealth, to the relief of Family Villa residents. But can this confession mend old wounds?

Moo-jin and Ae-yeon's reunion is on everyone's mind. As Ae-yeon reflects on their relationship, the family contemplates the true meaning of togetherness.
